Oh good, it's not as hot as yesterday. That was the prediction, but it's still nice to see it true. [livejournal.com profile] annathepiper and I walked down to the shops to sell a bunch of used books; it wasn't too bad thanks to the glory which is the tank top, but it was still pretty toasty under the backpack.

(Third Place doesn't give the best buy rate on books either, I don't think. They took like six books and we only got $5.50 or so in store credit. Sad! But Anna got her book.)

I've still started a gallon of sun tea. If it's going to feel like we're in the south, we might as well have the good drinks to go with it. Now if we only had a hammock!

Tomorrow, we're going down to Folklife; if you're going and you know us, be on the lookout. ^_^ We thought about going down today, too, but it's too hot and we're too sleepy from the last couple of nights. It's very nice inside here today, though. Yay!

I'm running low on flower pics, sadly, and the next round haven't bloomed yet! OH NOES!! I'll get out a little more this afternoon and see whether I can find anything more. Until then, I'm going to post one of two that I'd normally post as a pair (since it's the same plant), and hold the next one for the next update. To wit:

There's no sign yet of the dahlia I planted. I'm sad! I think it didn't grow. Also: still no squirrels.
