Very informal
May. 23rd, 2005 11:16 pmI thought these wildflowers by the road were pretty. Nothing formal, just volunteers growing on their own under a hedgerow.

Didn't ride my bike today, had to carry too much cargo, so drove. I hate that.
Miles today: 0.4
Miles out of Hobbiton: 142.7
Miles to Rivendell: 315.3
I'd probably write more, but I'm too sleepy. G'night!

YOU, my friend, are 100% Canadian! You are what
Canadians are all about! (and that's about. not
a boot.) You, my friend, are AWESOME!

Date: 2005-05-24 09:09 pm (UTC)OK. Beautiful flowers. We had a couple of them sprout up this year in our side yard, which is sort of a natural garden area anyway, so we let them stay. That was in February.
By May, we had those three feet tall and three feet wide, choking out Calla lilies and wild rhubarb and bleeding heart.
It takes some oomph to choke out bleeding heart!
So my advice... keep an eye on mysterious pink flowers with frilly leaves like in above picture. Do not hesitate to yank them if they get out of control. I have a feeling they'll be back. ;)
