Finale Update
Apr. 16th, 2005 12:28 pmThe Finale weed killer works as related to me; I've been dripping in a couple of drops of the concentrate to each individual cut-off-top plant, and it kills them quite completely. There's no spread that I can see - I have healthy, happy horsetail less than an inch away from dead, dead, DEAD horsetail, which is, of course, the better kind.
So if anybody was waiting for that followup, yep: it works.

Date: 2005-04-17 12:16 am (UTC)We'll have to go looking for Finale... where did you buy it?
(The technique Eric has currently been using on blackberry vines has been cut away the vines and then dig up the roots. If there's something that will kill the roots.... )

Date: 2005-04-17 12:30 am (UTC)It's not particularly easy to find around here. I found it at McLendon's Hardware, in Woodinville. Places that did not have it include Molbak's, Ravenna Gardens, Home Depot, and Lowes. I didn't try Sky Nursery.
