About f'in time.
They'd wired the circuit up wrong at the central office. Then they had to come down here and move the DSL connect onto house line two, because there is, in fact, a connection between the security system and the phone line, even though it's not really visible at the security system box. :-p
Anyway, things is working. Yay, IP tunnel!
