WHEVER I KNOW AT SYDSKANE.NU NEEDS TO GET THE EMAIL VIRUS OFF THEIR MAChINE NOW PLEASE. THANKS!

(I got 37 copies of the .pif file virus at my kiki address this morning, 34 all from the same machine overnight. AND one bounce notifying me of a bounce, indicating that my address got picked as the From: line at least once. Gah.)

Received: from CARIN-32R4PP9EC (193-109-173-202.sydskane.nu [193.109.173.202]) by lodestone.murkworks.net (8.9.3p2/8.9.3/Debian 8.9.3-21) with ESMTP id CAA19442 for <kiki_a.t_murkworks.net@broken.none>; Wed, 20 Aug 2003 02:54:24 -0700

37? Heh. I'm currently the admin for a Fortune 500 company, and we've had 61,000 copies so far....

I've gotten 200 or so today, I don't know exactly, as I've been compulsively clearing them out as they come in, optionally reporting them to the originating ISP with the horrible crappy script I wrote last night. Apparently all you have to do is add X-MailScanner: Found to be clean to the headers, and people will happily open it.

Wow..i've been getting off lucky.

I've had about 4 .pif directly

I'd say about 5 bounces total amoung my addresses

And one notification to my work address that I may be infected...I politely replied that my work address is on a Unix machine and we use a Webmail program that doesn't handle attachments in a way that could infect...(attachments have to be downloaded by command...and it's more likely to muck it up than do THAT correctly)

Frak...I havn't checked three or four addresses in a few days...better go do that.
