I forgot I hadn't finished the job thing. Um. Others off the top of my head:

• Computer camp councilor
  
• The inevitable two weeks at Burger King - they kept trying to get me to become a manager trainee and I said "no, I want a future that doesn't involve deep-frying professionally." Okay, I didn't, but I felt like it. I'll say this for them: that place was spotless. I'd eat there again in a second, which is unlike everybody else I knew who worked fast food.
  
• One unbelievably miserable day inserting Sunday supplements into other Sunday supplements for insertion into the Sunday newspaper
  
• "Landscaper" at a horse farm (meant doing all sorts of nasty stuff in blazing heat)
  
• Assistant systems manager (running backups, stuff like that) at the public library
  
• Workstudy-based software dev at college
  
• Credit investigator at a bank (another summer job - they hired me to do microfische but I went through the entire summer's worth of backlog in a week and a half, so they needed to give me something else to do)
  
• Telephone fundraising for a charity - it was too much like telemarketing, so I quit
  
• Sales counter at a small-engine and small-engine-parts store which at one point had been an exotic car dealership back when the newspaper building across the street had been a small automobile racetrack, which is why they had a mostly-glass-walled storage building out front with a revolving floor.
