The "American Family Association," which has become a fundamentalist action group, is doing a single-question "poll" on same-gender domestic partnerships and marriage. Here's a link. Anyone can sign it; it no doubt went out to their membership. it's gone down from 99% against either to 88% against either; more votes can keep that total going down. So vote, and pass it on.

The results page is here.

It's down to 87 percent now. I gave them a bogus email addy (but my real name). Need to spread this around more...

Me, too, and I passed this on....

There's some good quote I need to find about liking seekers of truth and avoiding those who've found it. ;)

With my contribution, down to 83%. Woo Hoo!

I really fail to understand how recognizing other EVERYONE's right to marriage undermines the rights of those who already have it. It's not like there's a limit on marriage licences and if couple of homosexuals get married that means there will be fewer straight families.... :P

I think it's more like this: Everyone wants to be able to dump on homosexuals because they live a life full of 'sex with no commitment'. Of course under the law they're not allowed to make that commitment. So if gay people started getting married, and settled down and all that stuff, well people couldn't make that argument anymore. I mean, how do you criticize people for not doing something they're not allowed to do, once they're allowed to do it?

It's the flip side of the catch 22 argument.

Me, I want poligamy and contract marriages made legal. But then I'm strange :-)

I'm with you on the polygamy and contract marriages. Hell, group marriages! Anything, as long as everyone is happy. Hell, more people around to help with child raising! (I'm strange, too.)
