Since random people seem to be reading my journal: most of what I post is hidden behind filters. I'm not sure why I'm mentioning that, but I am. ^_^

1: I'm amazed that I've lived in Seattle longer than anywhere else I've lived in my life but didn't bike to the Ballard Locks before, um, Sunday. I went with [livejournal.com profile] spazzkat and it was great, except where you don't have a trail for a while and if you follow the arrows on the streets you nearly get killed twice by getting your bike's front tire caught in the railroad tracks. But now I know better!

2: I'm torn between wanting the wardrobe makeover and not wanting to be on TV, which is why I haven't signed up for this.

-3: Why is my LJ suddenly blue?

4: I'm paid up through 2004, so it's not that. I guess I screwed it up somewhere. Bleah. I'll have to fix it.

5: Not getting enough done quickly enough at the other house. But I have gotten a lot done; yesterday I put in new locksets, got the Special Weirdo Shower Curtain Rod put together (with custom engineering by me, hopefully it won't explode...), and fixed a light fixture problem - so that was good. I've got some more replacement light fixtures to put up, though. The basement bathroom looks a billion times better now. The only things I kept were the fan/light/heater and the toilet. Everything else got replaced. Including some of the walls.

-6: Also having trouble finding renters. Stupid economy.

-7: Tonight's the stupid UPCC election meeting. I have to be there, I'm the VP. Next year, I'll be dropping to just being on the board and then I'm out, since we'll have moved by then. That'll be nice, I'm really sick of this. I liked parts of what I saw in Ballard, again; I'd kind of planned on looking there anyway. (Tho' I still suspect we'll end up someplace more like N. Capital Hill/Montlake or somesuch.)

8: More than halfway through ripping my CDs. Yay! That's why there's been a random collection of titles in my Music: field lately. I started this post back on Oasis, went through the one above, and am currently on pet shop boys. Which isn't bad for a morning reading mail and drinking tea. The best part is that it's read straight through my damaged CDs, so I have them back! Yay, Apple! ^_^

9: On the other hand, I really hate that we're moving, because this neighbourhood is so nice when people aren't trashing it every other week. And I love the Ave, still. And and and. Bleah! Oh well, 15th is also nice. (That's on Capital Hill. It's nicer than Broadway, I think, and good bus access to back here, which is important to me.)

10: I found a maybe for a violin teacher. She charges $15 for a lesson, which is cheap enough that I'm considering it even given our current, um, cash flow. (Or lack thereof...) I also talked to a singing instructor, which is important now that Kathryn's having to go full-time at her job and can't really see me anymore for lessons. (Sadness!) The only problem with the violin teacher is that she's in Bellevue; I can drive, but I don't like it. And once Anna has a job again, she'll probably need the car. And and and. But that's kind of looking ahead; I don't even know whether I'll like it yet. ^_^

-11: I'm kind of sick of a lot of my CDs. Particularly the older ones I haven't played in a while.

12: I'm done with my tea and need to shower. If you know me and you want to be in some of my filters, let me know. You already know my email address. ("Oh," she thinks, "_that's_ why I posted that." ^_^) Send me mail and I'll send you a list; it's short, but private. (That's why they're filters! ^_^)
