AKG shockmount broke again. When I got the mic, the included shock mount was broken in two places already, so I glued it together and reinforced it with copper. I imagined someone had tried to bend it into a better shape, since that part was cast a little askew and close to the mic.
This time, I was carrying it across the room to attach to a mic stand and a part I wasn't even touching just broke in half and popped off. Honestly, how does that even happen?
I'm fixing it again, but I think this thing is going to end up being made mostly of epoxy and glue, with the original metal left embedded as aggregate.
