Does Revolution stay this awful?

I just fast-forwarded my way through about Episode 4 (stopping when things looked less awful) and wow this thing is terrible. Does it stay this bad? Has it improved any?

I kind of want to find out wtf is going on, which is the only reason I've lasted this far, but they just got time zones laughably wrong, which is when I started seriously fast-forwarding. (It's midsummer; it's Seattle; it's dark; it's right before power stops. Okay: that means 10:30-4am, maybe. Except we know that's wrong, but leave it. Except she's talking with her kids over videochat in England and trying to get them to go to bed... sometime between 6:30 am and noon. GOSH THEY DON'T WANT TO GO TO BED WHY WHY WHY)

And maybe it's just because I pay attention to financial markets but what the fuck is wrong with you?

Also, apparently the writers' best idea of how to get to England from North America by small boat is to depart from Buffalo. THERE IS NO CANADA ONLY NEW YORK. You can damn near canoe from Newfoundland to Iceland. NO WAIT YOU CAN. And then WHY AM I TRYING TO FIX THIS AND WHY DO I CARE ENOUGH THAT MY NERD RAGEGORGE IS RISING?

I kinda wanted this not to suck, but all the characters (except one) are horribly unsympathetic or interesting, the plot is going no-fucking-where, and if it's trying to be a science-fiction show, it's batting somewhere below The Starlost and somewhere just barely above Land of the Giants.
