oh so that's how that works
Aug. 23rd, 2008 03:38 pmOkay, so, it appears that the reason vendors show up at Woodinville market is because of the 10am-Noon rush, which I historically have just been missing. It's a completely different market in that timeframe, and has jumped up from "least worthwhile" to "competitive in that 2-hour timeframe with Kirkland Wednesday." Plus, even on a day like today (all sun), it's much more bearable before the heat of the day sets in. I got in two and a half hours of playing.
So now I know why the vendors bother showing up. I'd been wondering about that this entire time, since I always saw so very few sales; it's because of the morning. For example, today, one of the fruit vendors told me that after noon he'd spend the rest of the day lucky to move 10 five-dollar boxes of fruit - but that would be after having moved 500-ish pounds in that morning rush. So it's not just me.
As you can probably imagine, all future Woodinville appearances will be morning events.
