the gods sign up for nanowrimo
Nov. 16th, 2007 07:36 pmWe got Anna's post-surgery final pathology report in today, and all results are pretty much the best possible; as far as they can tell, there is no longer any cancer in Anna's body. They're sending her through a 5-7 week radiation treatment as a preventative (the statistical case for it against recurrence is overwhelming) but the cancer, as far as medicine is capable of telling, is OUT. GONE.
And when we drove out of the hospital garage we discovered it had stopped raining. Then when we turned onto the street, a rainbow appeared in the sky in front of us. And all I could do is start laughing and say, "Oh, HEAVY-HANDED!" And Anna laughed too.
I swear I am not making this up. The gods are apparently doing NaNoWriMo, and writing with predictable quality. Gee, metaphor much? Apparently.
Reality can be really cheesy.
