solarbird: (Default)
Is there a way to limit the number of entries seen in default view via a parametre in the URL, and not by changing the setting within the style itself? I want to be able to hand LJ a URL that says "give me the most recent 1 entry in this style and this tag," "give me the most recent 3 entries in this style and this tag," "give me the most recent 20 entries in this style and this tag," and so on. I want to do this without making six different copies of the same style (each with a different display count), which is what I'm afraid I'm going to have to do as it stands now.

(Yes, it's for an S2 journal. Also, I don't actually need to include the styleid in the URL, because it's currently the default recent/lastn style for uplake.livejournal.com and it can continue to be the default if necessary. It'd be nice if I could make it not be the default, because without it, the journal looks like ass viewed through LJ proper. But, eh, whatever. Mostly I'm using LJ as a database for the neighbourhood association website I'm building with help from [livejournal.com profile] spazzkat. I tried to use iWeb HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA fuck that doesn't work.)
