DOCTOR BOB!
Aug. 28th, 2003 11:48 amBob Barker now looks disturbingly like the First Doctor. HMM? HMM???
Anna pointed out that this would make him Doctor Bob, which makes me giggle. ^_^
And watching this is really weird. Apparently, the set hasn't changed since 1978. Thick bars of colour, chaser-wired big-sized light bulbs, curtains with fairy lights behind them - it's just amazing. And yet, it doesn't look sad, so they've clearly been rebuilding/redoing all the set bits every so often. So it's kind of like looking back in time. It's not like watching a really old episode of something, because there's no film/video aging artifacts; they're using modern equipment to shoot the thing.
(Why am I watching The Price is Right? Morning p.t. session in a hotel means not very much to do. This show is So Odd. "Let's give away this random assortment of crap piled up on a stage!" It's the combination of 70s and randomness that gets to me.)
Also, courtesy of the TiVo, it's been Some Time since I've seen any commercials and I think they might have gotten even dumber.
Anyway, I'm finally about to be done so I can get to the actual convention. Yay!
