For the easily annoyed... )

...that since so many other people I know post what they do every day, that I might as well post that at least once! And it's been a while since I've had an unfiltered post that didn't just consist of lists of quizzes or neighbourhood annoyance, anyway. Blah!

1: Finally drove over to the east side to order carpet for the house we're selling. I'm looking forward to being done with all of this. It's taking too long, but I don't know, really, how much I can speed it up. We can't sell it until it's ready.

2: Doing some more community work with the neighbourhood organisation; I'm still on the board, and have, in fact, agreed to be on the board next year, too - at least, until I'm no longer eligible to be a member. (Which is to say, after I've moved.) I seem to have become the club's line editor for correspondance, correcting crimes against grammar and tone.

-3: The laundry people have still not phoned me. Very annoying.

-4: Dental checkup. That's no fun at all. And: even though I checked the box for dental coverage, apparently we don't have any. I'll have to follow that up with the new insurance people tomorrow. Blarg.

5: But, again: no cavities, teeth already very clean. Even though I don't floss, which they don't mind. ^_^ (My teeth are too close together. It's a long story.)

6: Apparently, my doctor thinks I'm very strange. How we got there is a good question.

7: Tomorrow, I must buy a Powerbook! I'd kind of like to order it directly from Apple tonight, but I've decided I'd rather see whether the local Computer Store has them for cheaper. (There's kind of a tax-vs.-shipping and now-vs.-a-couple-of-weeks thing going on here.)

8: Finally took the pieces from the stone cap of the lantern upstairs to the studio so it could warm up. The epoxy says it works better at warmer temperatures, so it'll have to sit there for a few hours while it makes it up to room temperature. (This is the lantern the *&@($#!!! broke last weekend.)

9: Slogging my way through a review copy of a fairly horrible book. I will not do it the favour of publicity here, but it's allegedly academic, a psychology book - and the kind of thing that could really hurt its supposed class of subject. (126 pages in, and while he's building the case for his completely batshit - IMO - thesises, there's no actual cases or evidence of him working with its subjects yet.) I mean, it's not The Protocols of the Elders of Zion bad, but it's seriously bad. I hate stuff like this.

10: I said this in filtered post, but I really do think I want to try the violin. It's not that expensive to rent one for a month and take a few lessons and see how I like it. And yes, this is directly related to:

11: this Ranma 1/2 fanfic I can't stop reading,

12: [livejournal.com profile] annathepiper and I need a new boyfriend. Any suggestions? -_^
