This thread is of interest to anyone advertising on Twitter, and illustrates another big mistake Elon has made with the birdsite.

It also reflects what he is and will absolutely do with Twitter politics over the next two years, assuming he doesn't augur it in before then. This is a preview of how politics will work on Twitter in the 2024 election - and why I say you can't fight back on Twitter.

When Musk bought Twitter I made a bet with some friends on IRC that Musk would cause Twitter to shut down by the end of 2022. It doesn't seam like that will happen, but I do think that Twitter's influence will be greatly diminished at the least if it doesn't shut down by the 2024 election. If he keeps driving other users away I'm expecting Twitter by that time to be like Parler or Truth Social, but around Musk's cult of personality.

an awful lot of money can make up for an awful lot of stupid, so I never really thought "end of 2022" was in play. not that I would've said no to it, of course. xD

trying to get everyone to recognise that it is truth social 2 / gab / parler is kind of my project at the moment, politically. for all the reasons I've discussed, including above.
