But he did.
The @GOP will make us ALL illegal again if they can.
I mean, yeah, all of this is nightmarish, but if you're going to talk about Obergfell v. Hodges (2015), why are you leaving out that he'd go a lot further, not just invalidating our marriages, but invalidating Lawrence v. Texas, guaranteeing our LEGAL RIGHT TO EXIST?
Did someone at @NBCNews not know what this decision meant? That it struck down 19 states making lesbian and gay people de facto illegal?
That at one point it had been almost every state?
And that's what the @GOP wants at the highest levels of power, now explicitly, via Thomas?
I mean, that's what they want. The @GOP never wanted us to be legal to begin with, and they certainly don't want us to be legal now that they're overtly authoritarian, welcoming of outright fascists, and rejecting all election losses as inherently invalid.
Don't sleep on this, @NBCnews.
They're coming for us, as they come for the entire republic. They mean it.
