The way to keep your bar from becoming a Nazi bar is to bring down the hammer the instant even one of them shows up.

I just had to do that on a mailing list I host - we host a bunch, mostly for clubs and not-for-profits - against QAnon antivax horseshit.

Not havin' it.

I told the poster, I'm not gonna try to get through to you, I'm not gonna try to talk you back to reality, because I know how this works and that'll just make you dig your heels even further in.

What you do elsewhere isn't my job. But you're not bringing that shit here.

And if this list's official management decides that's not okay, then they're welcome to find a new host somewhere else.

I would not be joining them at that point.

I don't like doing this shit, I've known some of these people since school.
