Listening to the callers on CSPAN-2 after the trial recessed for the day reveals how mind-numbed Republicans are. I listened to them saying that the election must have been fixed, and that Trump was just exercising his First Amendment rights, or such. And regarding that last point, it's clear that some people think that "free speech" means "no consequences, unless I personally don't like it."
