All too ready to decorate...

annathepiper and I went shopping for trees with kathrynt, Erik, poodlgrl, her Eric, Debbi, and Chris, Trees are really, really expensive this year. Apparently, half of Colorado burned down, which cut the supply a lot, and even though we're a huge exporter, it still makes prices go up.
But at least we have one. It's sitting in water on the front porch. We'll put it up tomorrow, I think - I have to find a new place to put it, since the old place is kind of filled now with a dining table and chairs. I also bought some lights that look like giant kooshballs, made with fibertopics - I think they'll look like will-o'-the-wisps once they're in the tree row, and I like that idea. (Hopefully it really will look good.)
We also ate at a Thai restaurant in Woodinville which was surprisingly good. I don't expect good Thai in Woodinville, but I got a beef noodle soup that was So. Good. that I kept eating and eating even after I ate so much my stomach started to hurt. IT WAS WORTH IT and I feel better now anyway, except for the total food coma.
But now I'm home and sitting in the comfy chair and the cat is on the back resting on it and purring into my ear, and that's pretty okay too. ^_^
