Keep an eye on the 10-year treasuries. While the market has been down over the last month, treasury rates have been consistently rising, indicating prices have been falling, meaning more selling than buying in bonds, which is at this point a pretty major counter-trend to expectations. (I picked the S&P 500 because it's the broadest index. the stock decline is worse in the Dow.)

so, then, a general flight toward cash is indicated. not good, and from that one might infer a growing desire to hoard cash -- where this may be headed is very not good, unless printing accelerates (and that has its own problems).

three feet of snow on the ground here, btw. but the power lines are still up.
