dear lazyweb

Anybody gotten a windshield ding repaired locally before and want to tell me who did it? I was driving to get groceries late last week and PANG! I suddenly had a nice little star-like ding in my car's front windscreen. Gir.

eta: Got a pointer via the murkmush. Surprise! Thanks tho'. ^_^

I've used the Novus at the intersection of 44th & 196 in Lynnwood. Did a pretty good job. Insurance covered all of it, did not have to pay the deductable.

My understanding is that it is common for insurance companies to wave the deductable for repairing windshield cracks, primarily to encourage people to repair the crack before it spreads.

I have also heard it said that many insurance company agents don't like to tell people about this, even if asked; instead they will try and talk people into paying for lower deductables.

My insurance company did not make me pay the deductible, but then counted it as a claim when it was time to renew my policy.
