Sorting Hat and Last Kickstarter day

Today is the last day of the Dick Tracy Must Duplicate Kickstarter project, so if you want to be a backer and aren’t, it’s today or… well, I’ll probably have some other project later. But it’s today! Or today.

Also today I have donned the Green-Brimmed Sorting Hat for the annual Great Tax Sorting. This is not only not an exaggeration, this is only part of the Great Sorting Field:

I’ll be buried a while, so see you… when I see you.

Or more likely, when I get bored and take a break. One of those. XD

I think once again I should be thankful that my life is simple enough that I have ONE job for ONE employer, no property, no dependents, no major lump-sum expenses, no influxes of money from other sources, and my taxes take (literally) about 20 minutes to do. I mean, 'simple' is a code word for 'not a very high-functioning modern-world adult' in many ways, but, thankful for the results.

Amen. I love being able to use the 1040-EZ. And yeah, I apply that code word to myself in much the same manner ;)

The apparent fact that some people need help to file the EZ confuses and dismays me.

Yeah, all I need the booklet for is the tables and such. Not being able to figure out that form is...all but inconceivable.

And I hear you on the reply below as well. I've seen my Mom have to file some ridiculously complicated returns on very low total incomes, but I myself have never had more than basic jobs for wages and a tiny bit of Interest off my Savings Account or something.

you win, you have much more to sort than I do....but I usually have a couple of cats helping..... Actually I can't do my taxes until my sister does hers, as I need input from her on a rental we inherited. Thus it'll be mid march before I can process, but I can get it all organized before and just wait for that document....I'd say we're about 80% ready now. Then we use H&R. I use to use Turbo Tax, but this way is much easier as I don't have the time with Norwescon tasks too....which is more important in the long term. :-0
