I love parrots. This one (named Yosuke) got lost, and told the vet he was handed to his name and the address where he lived, and they took him home. Ah, isn't that better?
k, i know NOTHING about the care & feeding of avians, except not to bring bread to the tame(ish) ducks at the lake, and that buying the birdseed (May to Aug) at the nearby wildlife education centre raises money for the centre. But would it be outrageously mean to connect a 100ft (minimum) leash to a parrot's ankle *before* opening the cage? Because if Yosuke was MY bird and he took off on me like that, I'd want new handling procedures when he came home so it didn't happen again.
