Classes started today, and I found out: oh, you also need to get this other photocopy book of labnotes, and a lab journal of this specific and only this specific kind, and this other thing and that other thing and gaaaaaaah there's an extra weekly meeting called a "quiz session" that's every Tuesday at 8:30am starting tomorrow. Good thing I didn't schedule an 8:30 T/Th class!

At least I found out that I can get a locker in the chem building if I buy a lock. So I bought a lock, and the books I needed, and grabbed an apple thingie for lunch, and then biked home.

Also, Dr. Callis blew things up in class. School is fun. ^_^

Actual term is "quiz section", which is where they break you down into smaller groups than the lecture and make you do really lame exercises. :( They're part of the fun of taking 100-level classes at the UW -- be glad you're not in one of the 700-person lecture classes...

I was fortunately partly confused. Today is a quiz section, but what I thought was a second weekly lab section IS the quiz section, so I don't have to come in at stupid in the morning or anything, it's the slot I already had set up and in my schedule.

Our class only has like 35 people in it, yeah. I'm glad I'm not in one of the 700 people monsters.

In other news, the bus before mine was late enough and they run often enough that I got here early. I now have a locker. Hee.

Yay locker! I've thought about getting one in health sciences just so i don't have to keep everything on my desk.

My class is going to be awesome! It only meets 8 times (...7 more, eesh) but we have a project for each time. I already have ideas on what to do for some. (The class is theatrical make-up. Projects include things like "horror -- scars, bruises, etc.", "animal/fantasy", and more. Hee hee.)

I was suckered in by those lies! The problem is that only the professors and TAs get to have fun with causing the explosions until after a few years of studying, like, math and stuff. Math is hard. ;)
