What. the. fuck?

Do a google search for my real first name, only without the apostrophie.

Throwing out the garbage hits, four of the results are me.

One of the others isn't.

That's new.

Samuel R. "Chip" Delany
Few have had such broad commercial success with aggressively experimental prose techniques.

Changing just a couple to second-answers didn't affect it; if I changed several, I got:

Olaf Stapledon
Standing outside the science fiction "field", he wrote fictional explorations of the futures of whole species and galaxies.

...but I had to change a lot of answers.

Angel
You are one of the few out there whose wings are
truly ANGELIC. Selfless, powerful, and
divine, you are one blessed with a certain
cosmic grace. You are unequalled in
peacefulness, love, and beauty. As a Being of
Light your wings are massive and a soft white
or silver. Countless feathers grace them and
radiate the light within you for all the world
to see. You are a defender, protector, and
caretaker. Comforter of the weak and forgiver
of the wrong, chances are you are taken
advantage of once in awhile, maybe quite often.
But your innocence and wisdom sees the good in
everyone and so this mistreatment does not make
you colder. Merciful to the extreme, you will
try to help misguided souls find themselves and
peace. However not all Angelics allow
themselves to be gotten the better of - the
Seraphim for example will be driven to fighting
for the sake of Justice and protection of those
less powerful. Congratulations - and don't ever
change - the world needs more people like you.

Huh. Is this someone now using it as an alias?

I get to be Harry Stubbs, who was one of my early favorite writers, who I've met and who I wouldn't mind being in the same team as, though I have been mistaken for Joe Haldeman in person more than once.

Hey, Samuel Delaney teaches at Temple. I see him in the faculty lounge sometimes. Have you read his stuff? It probably fits....

I got E.E. Doc Smith, even after changing a few things. Kinda thought I'd end up with Heinlein.

The 'empath'?

I came out as Octavia Butler, which is fine but I've never read any of her books :( I vaguely recall reading an article by her, though, and thinking 'wow she's got a really good, intelligent perspective, I ought to read one of her books'. Ho hum.

(I *have* read some Samuel Delany, he wrote some weird shit like it says... the one that particularly stuck in my mind is the book that had like multiple text columns in random corners, towards the end. To be honest though I think I prefer my books to read in a linear fashion. :)

Interesting. I'm either Frank Herbert or Kurt Vonnegut, depending on which way I vacillate on a few different questions.

Oh, well, I ended up as Heinlein. Which in some ways makes sense.
