I've known Brother Guy since before he became a Brother. He's a long-time fan, a professional astronomer and pretty cool. He generally comes to US WorldCons. He also got to hold one of Galileo's telescopes for the camera when explaining something for a TV documentary.
He and I are both on the GT-PFRC e-mail list. Brother Guy groused that the person quoting him was more interested in controversial soundbites than information.
The e-list also includes some self-proclaimed pagans. Who are arguing over what the words he used mean, since they (the pagans on the list) have different definitions. They haven't really challenged his basic point. Which was something a number of other Christians - including me - have said: That Creationism does not fit in with mainstream Christian beliefs.
