Honestly, I keep asking myself the questions " Have these people nothing better to do? Have we solved poverty and homelessness in this country? Has New Orleans been rebuilt? Have all the kids languishing in foster homes been adopted by good Christians? " For the life of me I cannot understand this utterly disproportionate interest/concern with what gays and lesbians are up to at any given moment. I can see making us maybe one or two "action items" but almost -all- of these? What the...? Or maybe it's just that this is working so well to smokescreen all the other problems that "their" administration is having.
As far as the peer reviewed article being published, as I recall not too long ago there were a couple of students who created a paper that was absolutely incoherent made up of nothing but randomly chosen industry buzzwords and submitted it to hundreds of peer reviewed industry journals - and eleven published it. They then admitted that they hadn't actually -read- it but since the title was plausible and timely, they included it. Now I'm not saying that this is what happened with the Journal of Biosocial Science but I wouldn't be surprised if it were.
