Nope. I've encountered too many snarky Mastodon evangelists who give me an evangelical vibe, which as an ex-evangelical is a MASSIVE red flag. Additionally, social media for me is in part a means to promote my writing, and from what I have heard, that's discouraged.
The difficulty and learning curve in using it is also not appealing. I've never been a huge fan of programming work and the hit and miss problem of finding the right instance to work for me eats up too damn much time that should go into writing and other things. The vibe may not be self-congratulatory on Masto itself, but let me tell you, the vibe elsewhere from Masto evangelists is definitely in that mode.
Ultimately, the only social media you control is the one you own yourself, which is newsletters. Until that's taken away, and if that goes, Masto won't be surviving either.
