a few things

Thanksgiving went well, thanks largely to mamishka stepping in and doing most of the hostess stuff that I just wasn't able to do this year. I did get to have a nice long talk with snout and both the turkey and stuffing came out very well this year, though, so all was well on that front. Everyone seemed to have a really good time; I just wish I hadn't been so worn out through most of it! spazzkat's coming over the evening before helped tremendously, too, as did flashfire's work helping me with things like replacing the broken front stair.

(Even if the replacement stair cracked as I was tapping it into place. I'll have to replace the replacement. Boo Hiss.)

Tonight was Poker Night at spazzkat's house; annathepiper stayed home and worked on her novel. I had fun; I'd expected to be handed my ass, in the form of a hat, but I did pretty well after all. The part where I go home with money which arrived with someone else is very strange to me, though. It feels kind of like theft, but it's okay. I don't know about that. (Even if it's only $2.65.)

Everyone there agreed that one particular version of this year's solstice card looked the best, so I'll be getting that printed up soon - hopefully tomorrow. I did the pencils and inks last night, which is pretty much a land speed record for me doing this sort of thing. So, yay.

Anna's just broken 49,000 words on her novel and I'm very, very sleepy too, so bedtime for me!
