The hate campaign against a cisgender Algerian boxer
This is to the people who are buying into the far-right’s anti-trans hate raised against the Algerian Olympic boxer Imane Khelif who is NOT ACTUALLY TRANS, but is receiving some of the fiercest gender-conformity policing I’ve had the extreme displeasure to see. Elon Musk, JK Rowling, the entire evil crew of evil fuckheads are in on it.
And of those who are so engaged – particularly of those who insist she’s “really trans” despite the IOC being clear she’s not – I ask:
Why would a government of a country where queer people are literally ILLEGAL – where queers are literally criminals for existing and gender transition of any kind is 100% ILLEGAL – why would such a government send a trans woman in secret to illegally REPRESENT THEIR COUNTRY IN THE OLYMPICS?
Why would they do that?
Make it make sense to me. Explain it in very small words and very clearly, like I am a small child.
Explain under what circumstances would ALGERIA, which JAILS LGBT PEOPLE, select a SEKRIT TRANS WOMAN as a NATIONAL REPRESENTATIVE to the OLYMPICS.
Make it make sense.
You can’t. You can’t because it doesn’t make sense and it can’t make sense.
That’s because the whole hatefest isn’t about someone being trans. It’s about a woman having her femininity policed, savagely and viciously, in a preview of everything the right wants to do against women who they don’t find properly submissive and attractive.
That is what this hatefest is about. And if you’re onboard with your “concerns” about the “trans” infecting “women’s sports,” that’s what you’re onboard with.
The message here isn’t about women’s sports. It’s about how there shouldn’t be women’s sports at all, and how there shouldn’t be women at all, unless we’re small, weak, quiet, and know our place.
Same as it’s always been.
Tell your friends. Tell your family. Get them to stop falling for this shit, because even some of the people you think you’ve talked down are ready to snap right back up to full-bore hatemonster again at any second.
All it takes is the right trigger.

It's well within my memory when the christofascists didn't care about trans people. Well within my memory.
They only pivoted to trans people when they lost on anti-gay pogroms.
