One of the interesting things happening on Mastodon is due to people who follow you actually seeing your posts, interaction is absolutely through the roof compared to Twitter. I've noticed this, many, many other people have noticed this.

I have about 75% of the followers that I had on Twitter. I have ... incomparably higher interactions. It's just stupidly higher numbers. Easily 10-20 times as many favourites/reposts but it's genuinely hard to compare as it's such a completely different world.

Here's a post from an Iconfactory rep talking about what they're seeing - just over one-fourth the follower count, but incomparably higher interaction. But it's not just one or two accounts - it's everybody with a decent sized follower count that I see talk about it.

It is a little harder to get started. As I like to point out, there's no algorithm to fill your timeline: you must explore. But if you do - holy shit. It's a completely different and better world.

Meanwhile, on Musk Twitter:

Leaked Messages Seem to Show Elon Musk Using Twitter to Punish His Enemies

"Since the acquisition, the company's only actions have been to silence critics of Elon, to expose journalists and others to harm, and to violate basic ethical standards and privacy laws."
