Moving up did not help in other locations. But even if it had helped, I wouldn't have cables dangling around visibly like that full-time. It'd drive me mad.

My backup plan was to drill up from a utilities room into a closet on this floor which shares a common wall with the studio, and just run a cable. We already had to do that for the room immediately below the studio, so... it wouldn't be a first. （⌒▽⌒）
