There is a kind of shot - a trick shot, really - called a domino shot. It's where you hit two targets with a single bullet.

I'd noticed in Annabots that I seemed to be getting some double-kills with single shots, and poking around, I'm under the impression that domino shots are actually a thing in-game.

I think I got one yesterday. Temple of Anubus, on offence, second point, I'm hanging out on my favourite perch, shooting onto the point, really kind of waiting for my team to get back out there as we'd captured part of the point but then got stomped.

I see some movement on the point, and I fire one shot in - Double kill.

I think maybe I got my first domino shot in quickplay.

That's been an innate properly of some first person shooter weapons going back as far as Doom (all hitscan attacks) and Quake 2 (Railgun), but I've never heard it referred to as "domino shot" before.

Nice shooting, though.

Luck, honestly. Not the first kill, of course - that was aimed. But getting them both. There might be snipers who can plan that shot, but against a team that has any idea what they're doing? I don't see how.

(Today, incidentally, a very different story. Lunchtime overwatch was like "lol aim what is aim" - we won a bunch but only because I'm a pretty good Widow76 with the machine gun. I couldn't hit any fuckin' thing. XD )

And then as soon as I post that, I realise that the Doom FireBullets function has the added twitst that the damage from the attack only goes through if the first target is killed, and then it's the remaining damage that goes through.

And the point at which I'm correcting myself about this is the point that I realise that I know far too much about these things...

Oddly, that's kind of how I'd expect it to work.
