i am so tired of house repair



When we put down the new subfloor over this I’m going to leave a note saying DO NOT PULL THIS UP WHATEVER YOU WANT TO DO IT IS NOT WORTH IT and then underneath the subfloor I will leave a note saying YOU PULLED IT UP! YOU PULLED IT UP, YOU GOD DAMNED MANIACS, YOU PULLED IT UP! possibly with an asbestos warning and possibly just with a photo of Charlton Heston.

I guess asbestos isn't quite the Deep Time problem that nuclear waste is, so a reference like this will not be lost on anyone likely to need it.

Oh it probably will be - it's not likely to be torn up for, oh, a century - unless the whole building is torn down in which case it won't get seen, of course. But I could be wrong and it will at least be a curiosity. ^_^
