It's glass - entirely glass, no metals or plastics this time - assembled using marine-grade silicon glue. I like to think you could clean it with a garden hose. So I would think it'd be fine, unless you have the kind of dampness where you're routinely cleaning mildew off walls.
I don't think I'd want to use my usual bolted-plexi in front of it, though. The bolts... I mean, in theory, they'd be okay? But I'm ... a little iffy on it. Because metal and things which aren't supposed to rust but half the time do anyway. But I'd include the white painted ply backboard - the one it's against in the photo - because I'm confident that would be okay.
Picking it up and trading for the B&N card would be just fine. The most expensive part of this one would've been the art glass used as the backplane - that's about $20 worth of specialty glass right there - but none of the rest is expensive. Lots of labour, because placing all those tiny pieces of safety glass is crazymaking. But not much in materials.
I'm out of town a lot those weeks for shows, so we'll need to schedule. Contact me through the contact page and we can set that up. ^_^
